It’s been a while… sorry for the lack of blog posts! Let me make it up to you guys by recommending these amazing products to you!

Clean on Me Shower Gel – Soap and Glory
This product smells like citrus and clean laundry. It’s super softening on the skin. You get SO much product for very little money. I love it. This will be my new go-to shower gel. Perfect for a quick shower when you still want to pamper your skin and treat it well.

Smoothie Star Breakfast Scrub – Soap and Glory
This smells like oatmeal and maple syrup and it does glorious things to your skin and it’s basically one of my favorite scrubs EVER. It’s the perfect way to start the day.

Smoothie Star Body Spray – Soap and Glory
See above.

Butterball Bath Bomb – Lush
I’m not crazy about vanilla, and I like my bathbombs to have some color and glitter and fireworks. So I wasn’t very excited about this bath bomb. But then I read that it helps alleviate stress and depression and anxiety- all of which I’ve had a lot of lately. So I popped this guy in the bath (with some L’Occitane lavender bubble bath) and I was SO relaxed. This bath bomb is extremely moisturizing smelled amazing once it had dissolved in the water (not nearly as strong as it smells in solid form) and it really did help alleviate my stress. I stayed in the bath for almost two hours. It was lovely. And this is one of Lush’s cheaper products, too. You can’t go wrong with this one.

Sunrise Soap – Lush
This is the best soap Lush has ever come out with and I’m so upset it’s seasonal!!!!!! It has shower gel mixed into the soap. And it smells so lovely and it’s so soft on the skin and it’s just the perfect shower soap. I’m obsessed with it. Get it while you still can.

L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Powder
My make-up stays in place alllllll day when I set it with this powder. I can literally feel the oils on my skin trying to break through, and they just can’t. This stuff is amazing. It goes on invisibly, and I love a matte look, and it just gets the job done. Zero complaints. Five stars.

February Favorites

Anastasia Brow Definer: This is the first time I’ve used something other than powder on my eyebrows, because I like how powder gives your eyebrows a natural look. So as soon as I put this on with half the effort of powder, but got the exact same, if not more precise, results, I was sold. I love this (and so did the two people in line ahead of me at Sephora… it’s flying off the shelves).

Lush Dream Cream Hand and Body Lotion: It works miracles. Seriously. I’m not crazy about this scent though (it’s not bad, just not my favorite), so I plan to re-stock in Karma Kream when I run out of this tub. This is my new winter essential.

Tanya Burr Picnic in the Park Lip Gloss: I’m not a big lip gloss fan- I love a matte lip. But, I’ll make an exception for this. I use this lip gloss on my lazy days when I’m doing a simple make-up look and want to add just a touch of something fun. Also, these lip glosses smell and taste amazing.

Milani Eye Tech Perfection Liquid Liner: The perfect line. Every. Single. Time. And cat eyes have never been easier. This is my new go-to liquid liner. I’m obsessed.

The Balm Mary Lou-Manizer: It’s so glowy! A little goes a veryyyyy long way with this product. I’m so glad I gave it a try. My skin looks bright and healthy and shimmery!

Luther: I binge-watched. Not gonna lie. If you like crime, British tv, and twists/surprises at every turn, then this show is 100% for you. First three seasons are on Netflix.

Shadowhunters: Not-so-guilty pleasure at the moment. It’s just pure fun. Currently airing on Freeform.

Recovery Road: THE PERFECT YA DRAMA. I’m obsessed. Currently airing on Freeform.

January Favorites

Bath and Body Works Merry Berry Christmas Body Cream (link is similar) – Unfortunately, this particular scent is sold out, but they still have one holiday scent left, which I’ve linked for you. This body cream is super hydrating and rubs in quickly without leaving a lot of grease. I like to use this before bed or after a shower. It’s cheap, but it works really well (and smells great, too). That’s all that matters to me.

Bath and Body Works White Barn Eucalyptus Mint Candle – Most relaxing scent ever. I bought the mini candle for $3 (which they still have in stock if you’re shopping on a budget) and I’ve already burned completely through it. Going to buy this 3-wick one now, because this is the perfect candle to burn after a long day at work before going to bed. I burn it every single night right next to my bed. And what I love about Bath and Body candles is that the fragrance really fills a room. Yankee Candle is great if you want a light scent, but definitely go with Bath and Body if you want everything to smell wonderful.

EOS Cucumber Hand Lotion – This is literally the best handbag lotion I’ve ever owned. It fits in my bag perfectly. I love how small the container is and the curved side which is perfect for gripping. It smells great and it rubs in quickly and instantly hydrates my hands. Basically, it’s been a life-saver on the go this winter. I have my lotions that I use at home, of course, but this is great for when I’m out and about and my hands start to feel chapped. And you can’t beat that cost.

Beauty 360 Honey Lip Balm – This has become my favorite lip balm this winter. I like my EOS one, but this one just works way better. It is SUPER hydrating and makes my lips feel soft and tingly. I put it on every morning and night and my lips have been smooth and hydrated all winter long. It’s great stuff. And, again, you can’t beat that cost.

Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Dry Shampoo – I know nothing about dry shampoos. I actually only bought this one because it was in the clearance bin at Target. But I can honestly say that it works. It smells good, it gets rid of any oil and grease in my hair, it makes my hair soft, it doesn’t leave any residue, and it makes my hair look like it’s just been washed. So, it does everything a dry shampoo should do. I’m sure there are better products out there, but this one works for me, so I’m happy!

ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip More Better – ColourPop is a new find for me, and I’m already obsessed with it. It’s liquid lipstick that quickly mattes on your lips. It’s not drying and it goes on smoothly. And it stays on all day long. Like, it stays firmly in place and will even leave a bit of a stain once you remove your makeup at night. The lasting power on this is seriously incredible. And there are so many colors to choose from! I will say, I recommend buying a lip pencil if you use this, because it did smudge a bit around my lips by the end of the day (after I ate and drank). A lip liner would hold it in place better (and it’s always a good idea to use a lip liner on dark colors for that reason, anyway). But apart from the bit of smudge at the end of the day, this lipstick is pretty much perfect. 5 stars out of 5.

Lush Faves and Regrets: Part 3 (The Christmas Edition)!

Basically, the Christmas line is flawless. It’s too late to get these this year, but add them to your wishlist for next Christmas!

Christingle Body Conditioner– Lush is all about keeping us moisturized this winter! And I’m all about that, too. Which is why this is easily my absolute, number 1 fave of this post. I had never heard of body conditioner before this product, but all you do is rub this onto your skin after you wash in the shower, then rinse it off with hot water, and pat yourself dry. It smells of peppermint and is bright blue and basically feels/smells like you’re rubbing spearmint toothpaste onto your body. But my GOD does it moisturize. I’m obsessed with how healthy my skin is after using this product, and once you get out of the shower and start patting dry, that’s when the “tingle” starts to come out to play. I love this product and it’s a must-have for pampering yourself this winter.

Yog Nog Bath Bomb– I’m not exaggerating when I say Lush is all about moisturizing this winter. I’ve seen this bath bomb compared to ButterBall and ButterBear bath bombs, but since I’ve never used those two (I’m not fond of the scent), I’ll have to trust those reviews. There’s nothing super special about this bath bomb- it fizzles normally, turns the water neon yellow/green, and the smell is pretty faint (but very Christmas-y, so yay!). It’s once you get out of the bath that you realize how spectacular this product is. There’s a little bath melt in the middle of this ballistic, and I could feel the cocoa butters soaking into my skin as I soaked in the water. And my skin felt so incredible when I got out of the bath. I’ll be going back for this one again and again this winter.

Cranberry Face Mask– I know already that I’m going to come back for this mask once winter hits. This mask is meant to repair dry and damaged skin, which I’m actually not having a problem with right now, so I didn’t get to experience the full effect. But, last year, I seriously struggled with cracked skin on my face once it got really cold and dry, so this is going to be perfect for avoiding that this year! This is definitely a must-have during the colder months! And a huge plus to this face mask is that it smells SOOOOOOO nice! So while I didn’t really need it right this minute, I definitely recommend it to those struggling with dry skin, and I’ll be coming back for this mask in a few months.

Luxury Lush Pud Bath Bomb– I love this! It kind of reminded me of a mix between Sex Bomb and Twilight, which are two of my favorites, so what’s not to love? It was so pretty as it dissolved, and it smelled exactly like Twilight, and turned the water bright pink. It was just a fun little treat, since it’s limited edition. There’s nothing Christmas-y or Winter-y about it, but it’s definitely special. I’ll probably buy a few more before the holidays are over.

Golden Wonder Bath Bomb– This is my new holiday favorite. I’ll definitely be getting this every Christmas. It turns the water a gorgeous turquoise and has stars in the center of the bomb and it smelled lovely and the water was gorgeous and I just really loved it. Plus, it’s so cute to put on display before you use it!

Peeping Santa Bubble Bar– This one smells amazing! And it turned the water a festive red. I loved how this one smelled of strawberries. It made plenty of bubbles, too. It was a different scent from what I normally go for, but I really loved it. And, again, it’s super cute to put on display before you use it.

Salt and Peppermint Bark Body Scrub– Obsessed with this. It basically smells like you’re bathing in candy canes. Like all of Lush’s solid body scrubs, it doesn’t go a super long way.  But it still lasted me the month, so I can’t complain. It definitely exfoliated and made my skin super soft and silky and moisturized. I’m a big fan and am going to buy another one before the season ends. I love this. It’s perfect when paired with Christingle, as well.

Shoot for the Stars Bath Bomb– This was so lovely and sparkly. It was kind of like an Intergalactic wannabe as far as how it looks and dissolved in the water, but instead of a peppermint smell, it smelled fruity, like oranges. I enjoyed it! I thought it looked gorgeous in the water and it was a nice little treat for the holidays.

Father Christmas Bath Bomb – Who doesn’t want bright green water? Although, that’s pretty much all this guy has to offer. But man did he look cute and festive on my bathroom shelf throughout December. Also, I’m not crazy about the Snow Fairy scent, so I did appreciate that this was a much, much more flushed out scent, which made it a lot more bearable. This guy was cute- he could have been better, but I enjoyed it!

The Magic of Christmas Bubble Bar– It smells great, it looks great, it can be used again and again, it has glitter…. there’s literally nothing wrong with this bubble bar. I didn’t use much of it for my bath, so my bath water wasn’t too bright or colorful. But I imagine if I swirled it around more, my bath water would have turned much more golden. I loved this.

Golden Handshake– I very rarely say that a Lush product is awful. If it’s in my regrets, that usually just means it wasn’t for me. But this product is actually awful. It didn’t dissolve, it made a mess, it clogged up my sink when I tried to get rid of it…. I stirred and stirred and stirred and added more and more boiling water, but it just would not melt. Thank goodness this was a cheap buy, or else I would have been pretty upset. Save your money, though, or go for their great lotions instead.

So White Bath Bomb– This smells delightful. I will give it that. Apart from that, though, this one was just kind of bleh. It won’t be my go-to Christmas bath bomb. I would love it to come back as a shower gel, though… the scent of apples is what makes this one such a hit. But I’ll pass on getting it in bath bomb form again.

Dashing Santa Bath Bomb– This one was honestly an epic fail. It smelled pretty good, but when I put it in the tub, it sunk to the bottom. The dissolve was so anti-climatic, especially since I was expecting it to dash about the tub. The water was an orange-red, but not as bright as the Peeping Santa (which smelled and looked better). I was disappointed with this one. Won’t be buying again.

I’ve still got a couple more products from the Christmas line to try- there are just too many and not enough time! I’ll be sure to include my thoughts on the following products in my next Lush review!

-Cinders Bath Bomb
-Five Golden Rings Bubble Bar

And be sure to check out my last Lush review, as well. I talked about a few of their Christmas products in that one!

November Favorites

Grace’s Guide: This is my current bedside table book. I read a chapter every night before bed to unwind and have a laugh. It’s full of funny bits, as well as pretty sound advice, believe it or not. I’m really enjoying it, and I’m looking forward to her next book coming out in February!

Harry Potter Coloring Book: I was positively spoiled one day this month when I walked into work to find the new HP coloring book sitting on my desk (a gift from one of my wonderful co-workers, just because). I love these new intricate coloring books that are trendy lately- they’re just great stress relief! I’ve really enjoyed messing around in this book at the end of a long day.

Sabon Lemon Mint Body Scrub: This is the first Sabon product I ever used, and I love it. I generally prefer sugar-based scrubs, and this one is a salt scrub, but that is honestly the only downside. It smells delicious and leaves my skin super soft and clean. This is my go-to body scrub this winter!

Christingle Body Conditioner: I had never heard of a body conditioner before the product, so I was excited to try it out. This is bright blue and minty and makes your skin tingle and moisturizes the skin so well and basically, it gets 5 stars out of 5.  It feels, smells, and looks a bit like you’re rubbing toothpaste on your skin, which gave me a laugh the first time I used it. But the second this product soaked into my skin… let’s just say Lush got the last laugh. I will be using this all winter long to keep my skin minty, soft, and moisturized. This is also perfect when paired with the body scrub I just mentioned (and the next one…).

Salt and Peppermint Bark Body Scrub: This solid body scrub is sooooo good. I love the rough texture of it- a texture that you don’t always feel so strongly when the body scrub is in a “liquid” form. So I love that this body scrub is solid. And it smells SOOOOOO delicious. It’s basically like rubbing a candy cane all over your body. And again, while I’m not usually a fan of salt-based scrubs, that’s the only thing I would change about this product. I’ve been alternating between this and the Sabon scrub all month long.

EOS Sweet Mint Lip Balm: Are you guys seeing a trend here? For some unknown reason, I am all about peppermint/mint scents this winter! Every time I go to buy something, I reach straight for the minty scents (something I’ve never done before). I’ve heard loads of positive things about EOS, so when my lips started chapping, I went straight to this product. And it works wonderfully.

Lush Faves and Regrets: Part 2! (Featuring the entire Halloween range)

Cup O’ Coffee Face Mask– This mask is great! I absolutely love it! First of all, the smell… the smell is amazing. It’s made with coffee grinds, so obviously it smells like coffee. And the smell lingers once you wash the mask off, so it leaves my face smelling faintly of coffee for the rest of the day. Second, the consistency of the mask- it goes on so well and feels so refreshing and cool when it’s on my face. I’ve been leaving it on longer than 10 minutes because I just love how it feels on my skin. Lastly, it makes my skin look AMAZING! My skin is so soft after this mask and looks so bright and rejuvenated. It’s the perfect way to start the day. I love this mask for weekend mornings when I’m laying around watching Netflix, or when I get an early start to the day during the work week. This mask is also a great scrub when you’re washing it off- it exfoliates your skin beautifully. And it’s self-sustaining, so you don’t have to refrigerate it and it lasts much longer than other Lush masks. This is a must-have. I’ll be buying the big pot from now on.

Sex Bomb Bath Bomb– This one is now tied with Twilight as my favorite, go-to bath bomb. I see now why Sex Bomb and Twilight are best-sellers. I felt a bit silly buying Sex Bomb, as this was a solo bath and not meant to be a romantic evening, etc. etc. But I decided that I wanted a pink bath, so I just bought it anyway. You guys… this bath bomb was so amazing. I stayed in the bath until I was wrinkly and prune-y, and even then I was so hesitant to leave the bath. First of all, the smell is AMAZING. I love floral scents, and this ballistic smells of roses and flowers and it’s such a lovely feminine scent and it lingered on my skin for the rest of the evening and even overnight! It also has such a dramatic fizz as it dissolves, so even though it dissolves quickly, it was exciting! And it turned my bath water such a vibrant purple/pink. I was in love! I turned up my girl-power playlist, soaked in the water, and let my troubles float away. FAVE!

Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar– This is very similar to another favorite of mine; Sunnyside Bubble Bar (which has just been re-formulated and re-designed and it’s so much bigger YAY)! Which means that I LOVE this product. It is wonderful as decoration before you use it, as it’s shaped like a pumpkin, complete with a cinnamon stick stem. And it’s SO glittery, which makes your bath sparkle and glitter, which I love. It smells delicious! It’s very citrusy and sweet. And it turned my bath water orange, like a pumpkin, so it’s super festive! I only used half of the bubble bar and it still made SO many bubbles! This is definitely a seasonal fave.

Don’t Look At Me Face Mask– This is a new all-time favorite. It smells amazing; citrus and lemon. It left my skin super hydrated and soft and silky smooth. My skin looked bright and even. It went on so smoothly and rinsed off as a scrub, so it exfoliated my skin. My skin has never felt better. Just… yeah, I can’t say enough good things about this face mask. 5 stars!

Lord of Misrule Bath Bomb– This is the most amazing seasonal bath product ever invented! I am so obsessed with it. I am going to buy this product over and over again every Halloween until I die, I swear. It smells AMAZING, and left my skin smelling great for hours after the bath, as well. It’s this fun, green, slime color as it dissolves, and then this pink-ish color is in the center. And once the two colors combine, your bath water turns into this deep, burgundy, blood-red color (think red wine) that is just perfect for Halloween. I am obsessed with the color it turns your bath water and it is honestly just so perfect for Halloween and really got me in a festive mood. I stayed in this bath for over an hour, not even kidding. I will buy this bath bomb again and again and again…

Intergalactic Bath Bomb– This was the very first Lush product I ever saw talked about, and it’s the product that first caught my eye and made me interested in Lush. So I was very disappointed when I realized that it was only available in the UK. But it’s finally in the US, and oh my god was it worth the wait! THERE WAS SO MUCH GLITTER. You guys, it was the most beautiful, fun, amazing bath in the entire world. The water turned a deep blue and the glitter swirled around in it so beautifully. It also left my skin super moisturized and soft, and left me feeling extremely relaxed during and after the bath. The only downside for me was that it smells very strongly of peppermint, which is a scent that burns my eyes and leaves me with a slight head-ache sometimes, so I do wish the scent was a bit more mild. But the aftershave scent that was left on my skin after the bath was wonderful. This is one of my new all-time faves and I will definitely be buying it again.

Karma Bubble Bar– New and improved! I was so excited about the redesign of this bubble bar! The last one was orange and more than a little lacking. This new bubble bar is much more exciting! There still weren’t very many bubbles, and they had pretty much entirely dissolved within 5-10 minutes. But the water is now dark purple with a few silver sparkles, which makes this much more fun than the previous product! But, the most important thing about this bubble bar is still the incredible scent. So while it’s still not their best bath product, I’ll keep coming back for the amazing scent that sticks with you long after the bath is done.

Nightwing Shower Jelly– This product is such a cute idea, but unfortunately it’s going under regrets. It smells so sweet and delicious in the container, and when it lathers, it turns purple, which is so much fun! And I love that it’s shaped like a bat- it makes it so festive! However, it makes my skin feel dry after the shower and it doesn’t really feel cleansing. The amazing scent doesn’t stick to my skin at all, so I don’t smell great when I get out of the shower. And while the shape is cute, it’s too big and slippery to handle in the shower, so I’m constantly grappling to hold on to it. It keeps slipping out of my hands and crumbles into pieces as I’m washing. So, to summarize, I can barely hold on to it, it doesn’t clean well, and the scent doesn’t stick.

Lord of Misrule Shower Gel– I agonized over whether to put this one in my faves or regrets… first of all, this product is great and fun-looking and smells amazing. BUT- it is way too expensive. That’s why it ended up being filed under regrets. I bought a tiny little bottle (3 fl oz) for $10. In comparison, I buy my regular shower gel from Bath and Body works at 10 fl oz for $12.50 (although I usually wait and buy them in bulk during their sales, and get them even cheaper than that). So is this something that I would buy regularly, or purchase again? No. Is this something I would recommend treating yourself to once a year, just to be festive? Sure. So while I won’t be going back again for more of their shower gels, and I most likely won’t be purchasing this again next year, it was still a nice, one-time treat.

Stardust Bath Bomb– I was given this product as a reward for a contest, but this is still an honest review. This new holiday bath bomb was cute. It fizzled out in just under a minute, and released tee-tiny little stars that quickly fizzled away with the rest of the ballistic (seriously, I almost missed them). It turned the water a milky blue and it shimmered with silver glitter. The bath itself wasn’t very exciting. This one is great if you want a very simple bath with just a touch of fun. I honestly prefer the more colorful and glittery baths, but I might go back and get this one again if I’m in the mood for a simple, relaxing evening without a lot of flare. The best part of this bath bomb was actually after I got out of the bath- my skin was covered in a shimmery sheen of glitter, making my skin look healthy and glowing. This one is just barely in my regrets. It was a close call. It’s only here because I would go for other products before I would get this one again.

Old Father Time Soap– Again, this product was given to me as a reward for a contest. And I really enjoyed using it- but is it something I would have picked out if I had popped into the store to go shopping? Probably not. I prefer floral, clean, and citrus scents. This one smells of sage and thyme, which is still a lovely scent (seriously, it smells great, if not a bit different than most soaps), but not what I normally lean toward. I liked the design on the soap, but it didn’t really make me think of Christmas, and since it’s a holiday soap, that was a bit disappointing. So yeah, it’s nice and I was happy to have it for free, and it’s still sitting next to my sink for daily use, but it’s not something I’ll be buying on my own.

Bar Humbug Bubble Bar– This bubble bar was cute! I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy the scent, and probably a lot of you won’t, but I actually did end up liking it. It smelled of licorice, with a hint of fruit. And it turned the water a pretty pink/purple color- think Pepto Bismol. And it had just the faintest hint of glitter (not nearly enough). I received this bubble bar as part of a prize package, so considering it was free, I can’t complain. Is this something I would go back and buy? Considering how amazing and exciting many of the other Christmas products are, probably not. But I still enjoyed it!

October Favorites

Don’t Look At Me Face Mask– Fave! I know I say this a lot, but Lush has really outdone themselves with this one. It is so smooth and creamy when you put it on, and it feels so lovely while it sits on the skin, and smells like lemons, and it’s bright blue! When you rinse it off, it can work as a scrub, so it also exfoliates. It cleanses and keeps my face from breaking out. And it moisturizes like WHOA. Basically, it’s everything you could ever need in a face mask. This is my new go-to and might even replace Cosmetic Warrior…

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara– I’ve been using this for months! How have I not mentioned it yet? I was rec’d this product by a few beauty vloggers that I enjoy watching. So I went to CVS and decided to give it a go. First of all, it’s cheap. That’s always a plus in my book. Second of all, it doesn’t clump. Third of all, it’s easy to apply and lasts all day. It really makes my eyes pop and it just goes on so beautifully. I love this product and will definitely buy it again and again.

Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara– Not going to lie; the only reason I bought this particular brand is because it’s the only bottom lash mascara for sale at Sephora. But, it’s only $10, which is crazy by Sephora standards, and it gets the job done! It’s the perfect sized brush for getting the bottom lashes without creating a mess. And it doesn’t clump. It’s perfect for defining those bottom lashes and giving your eyes a little extra pop. This product makes mascara so much easier!

Tanya Burr Galaxy Eyeshadow Palette– This has become my daily eyeshadow for Fall, and that will likely extend into Winter. I’m already running low on Moonlight. I bought my palette from FeelUnique, but it’s currently completely sold out (that is completely indicative of the quality of the product), so I’ve linked you guys to Superdrug, although it doesn’t ship internationally. These colors blend so beautifully together, and just look gorgeous on the eyes. They go on creamy and are so pigmented. It just looks amazing, and you can make a day or night look with this palette, which is an extra bonus. For the cost, the quality really can’t be beat.

Mary Kay Vanilla Mint Lip Balm– Apparently, this product is no longer available, as it’s a holiday product. And I have no idea if it will be back for the holidays this year. I found this lip balm as I was cleaning out my old make-up bag. It was still in the box, never been opened. I don’t even know when or where I got it. But I was in desperate need of a lip balm, as the seasons are changing and my lips are apparently chapping early this year (-sigh-). This lip balm smells amazing. And it works! So I’ve been using it every morning and every night. I don’t have a single negative thing to say about this product (except that apparently I can’t buy more for the unforeseeable future…).
